Which programmes can a student join after completing Class 10?
After Class 10, students can choose from three Pre-University streams at Universal Group of Institutions:
- Science – PCMB
- Commerce – HEBA

Each stream is combined with relevant competitive-examination preparation, helping students work towards both their board examinations and long-term career goals.
How can we decide which PU stream is suitable for our child?
The right stream should be selected based on the student’s interests, academic strengths and career plans.
Students interested in medicine, engineering, defence or aviation may consider PCMB. Those interested in business, management, finance or entrepreneurship may consider HEBA, while students interested in civil services, law, public administration, humanities and social sciences may find HEPG particularly suitable.

What undergraduate programmes are available at UGI?
UGI offers the following three-year undergraduate programmes:

B.A., B.Com. and B.Sc. students can pursue integrated preparation for IAS, IPS and KAS, while BBA students receive AI training along with integrated CAT and MAT preparation.
Are the programmes offered by UGI officially affiliated?
Yes. The PU programmes are affiliated with the Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka.
The B.A., B.Com., B.Sc. and BBA undergraduate programmes are affiliated with Bangalore University. This allows students to pursue recognised academic qualifications while simultaneously preparing for competitive examinations.
Can a student begin civil-services preparation immediately after Class 10?
Yes. Students can begin with IAS Foundation preparation during the PU stage and continue with integrated IAS, IPS and KAS coaching during their undergraduate studies.
Starting early helps students gradually develop knowledge in history, geography, polity, economics, science, current affairs and public administration instead of trying to complete the entire preparation after graduation.
Does UGI offer programmes for students interested in careers other than civil services?

Does UGI provide digital learning facilities?

Will starting competitive-examination preparation early place too much pressure on students?

Yes. Hostel accommodation is available for students coming from different regions.
The hostel is supervised by an experienced chief warden and supported by hostel staff. The staff attend to students and ensure that the facilities and amenities are maintained properly.

The hostel provides essential facilities such as:

What kind of food is provided to hostel students?
Students are provided with regular breakfast, lunch and dinner. Milk is provided in the morning, while milk or tea with snacks is offered during the evening break.
Food is prepared under hygienic conditions, with attention given to variety, freshness and quality. The institution closely monitors food standards to ensure that students receive wholesome meals.
What library facilities are available?
The library provides academic books, IAS preparation material, current-affairs resources, reference books, periodicals and magazines.
